After a short introduction to the history of Goths and their connection to the Romans in that region Viacheslav Kuleshov will present the find and give information about the find circumstances, its type and possible dating. Sonia Pereswetoff-Morath will present the results of a field investigation of the runic inscription on the solidus and show detailed photographs of the runes. The proposed reading and interpretation of the runic inscription will also be presented.
